Busy, busy, busy....

Geez....its been a long time since I posted. Doesn't seem like there are enough hours in the day now that I am back to work. Not to mention all of the exciting stuff going on. I'll probably have to post a couple times this weekend to get all caught up.

Noah had his 2 month check up at the beginning of this month. He weighed in at 10 pounds and 10 ounces, but he has to be at least a couple pounds heavier now because those cheeks are really starting to fill out.

He had his first big outing a couple of weeks ago. He went to Disney on Ice with his cousin Emma. He loved the lights and music.

Emma loves her baby cousin. She always wants to hold him and help change his diapers. I got some cute pics of her helping with bath time.

Emma couldn't wait for Noah to start taking bottles so she could help feed him. One day a couple of weeks ago, I was nursing Noah and Emma said "Aunt Traci.....I wish I had milk holders so I could feed Noah" LOL.

She's gonna be an excellent big sister!!

Next up.....Easter pics.

Week of Firsts

This week Noah really started smiling. I caught a couple on video and snapped a few pics. I feel like I have been waiting for this smile forever even though that is ridiculous since he is just 8 weeks old. Funny how one smile can make all the sleepless nights totally worth it.

Noah also started to really coo this week. I haven't caught it on video yet but I caught him mid-coo in this pic.

This one doesn't include a smile, but I love this picture. Can you tell who he gets the crazy eyes from?

Noah also started going to Ms. Tamara's this week. We did a couple of trial runs and it seemed to go pretty smoothly. The first day I managed to keep him there 2 hours, which was much longer than I thought I would be capable of. Yesterday I dropped him off and he stayed until 2pm. I have a feeling Monday will be different though. Monday it's real. Hopefully I make it out of her driveway.

Friday night was also the first time we got a babysitter and went out for some much needed adult time. Grandma Greear came to stay with Noah. Of course, we needed a special outfit for her.

It was definitely a big week for Noah. Maybe next week I'll be able to blog that he is sleeping through the night. LOL, a girl can dream.

My new favorite letter is Z for ZZZzzzzz

I hate to jinx myself but could this be the beginning of me actually sleeping again??? Do I dare believe this is the light at the end of the tunnel? Tonight for the first time in 7 weeks, which would be his entire life thus far, my son went to sleep without any type of fight at all. No crying. Not a peep. It was diaper change, PJ's, feeding...then lights out. Could we be turning some sort of corner? What happened to the endless screaming from around 7 pm to midnight? Never mind....I don't want to know. I just hope this means its over. In honor of this milestone, here are a few of my favorite pics of Noah sleeping.

If it were a bottle of Miller Lite instead of pacifier, he'd look just like his Daddy does when he falls asleep on a Friday night.

You know you move a lot in your sleep when one of your socks end up near your armpit.

Good night everyone!

Sunday Fun Day

We haven't gone far from home since Noah was born, but Sunday we decided to venture out and headed to church. It was so nice to be out of the house and I think Noah enjoyed all the attention he got from his family. I will still have to download the sermon since Noah only made it about half way thru before he started getting noisy, but all in all it was a great day! If I had any sense I would have had someone snap a family picture while we were there, but I seem to be pretty forgetful these days. You will all just have to settle for a picture of Noah.

Monkey Bear Is One Month Old

This week Noah had his one month doctor check up. My little man weighed 8 pounds 15 ounces and he was 21 inches long. I can't believe it's been a whole month! I'm not sure I even remember what it was like before he was here. Oh wait....yes I can. That was back when I actually got to sleep through the night. LOL. Here are some recent pics of this big guy.

Monkey Bear on his activity mat.

He uses the dangling toys like a punching bag.

I know I should be ashamed that I would impose my love of Twilight on my kid, but I'm totally not. Oh, there is more where that came from. My sweet friend Allison gave me a Cullen onesie and an adorable bib. As soon as little man grows into them, I will be posting pics. LOL.
Its like he is trying to pose for the picture.

Happy One Month Birthday Little Man!

Valentine's Day

Noah celebrated Valentine's day by helping me decorate cupcakes for Daddy and the grandparents. I know what you're thinking....how can a four week old baby help make cupcakes?

He helped by sleeping through the whole process.

Here is our finished product. Yummy!

And of course, no holiday would be complete without a special outfit for my monkey.

Shout Out to Chunky Monkey Photography

Noah had his newborn pictures taken the first week we were home by Chunky Monkey Photography. My friend Amber referred me to Chunky Monkey and I am so grateful, because I loved our pictures and Heather, the photographer was so patient and took beautiful pictures of my monkey. Best of all, she came to the house so I didn't have to go anywhere. She also brought all the props. And she is very reasonably priced. I can't wait until our next session for his 3 month pics! I posted some on facebook but here are some more of my favorites.
